Enjoy a Taste of Germany at Anaheim’s Oktoberfest!

You don’t have to go all the way to Germany to experience an authentic Oktoberfest, especially since there’s one right in your Southern California backyard….at the Phoenix Club in Anaheim. Gather your family members and friends, and come on out to have some fun. The event location is 1340 S. Sanderson Avenue in Anaheim.

Experience the tastes and sounds of Germany with German beer served on tap, and a lot of other authentic and traditional foods. Admission to the event is $5, but kids under age 18 enter for free. Admission fee doesn’t include the cost of food. In the biergarten there is no reserved seating, so you may find yourself sitting with people you’ve never met. This is in keeping with the traditional German biergarten practice.

If you love to dance the Polka and listen to Oom Pah, Pah music, you’ll really enjoy this yearly event. There is a play area for kids, and across from the biergarten gate at Del Rio Stables and Equestrian Stables, there will be $5 pony rides.

Hours for the event are Fridays from 6 PM to Midnight, Saturdays from 3 PM to Midnight, and Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM.

Another local Oktoberfest is at the Pomona Valley Workshop Oktoberfest. This takes place Thursday, October 10, 2013 — 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM at the Double Tree by Hilton Claremont. Be sure to stop by and come Celebrate with the Chambers of Chino Valley, Claremont, Irwindale, Montclair, Ontario, Pomona, Upland and Chapters of TEAM Referral Network. The event is only $15 per person and includes a wine and beer tasting! There will be a lot of music and prizes, so dance your shoes off and purchase some raffle tickets!

If you plan on enjoying the festival’s beer, be sure you come with a designated driver. Before you head out to the event, make sure all of your essential and valuable property and possessions are properly protected by contacting Apollo Insurance Services.
